We now have 8/4 Walnut and more slabs from one kiln and the kiln was loaded back with all 4/4 Cherry. Other kiln is loaded with poplar and should be out next week. Our lane coming in is getting better and hopefully today with warmer weather the little bit of ice left will melt. Cars and two wheel drive trucks are getting in and out. Below is a few photo's of the slabs we unloaded from one kiln yesterday!!!!
This is a book matched pair of cedar slabs sawed by Bagdad Lumber and then planned, jointed, and glued up by the "Wood Shed" in Shelbyville. One of the perks of running the sawmill is this ONE in mine!!!!

Several customers made it out today despite the road and the weather! I took a few photo's this morning but it looks a lot better now.
Many has called and asked if we will be here with the weather like it is. We will be here tomorrow Saturday the 25th from 8 am until 5:30 pm. The gravel lane is slick but two wheel cars and trucks are getting in and out without any trouble, plus we're here to help. Watch the signs coming in we have added a new sign at the curve "snow road" this road is a little less steep and seems easier for most to get in.
4/4 Walnut is out and ready!!! Kiln loaded back with all 4/4 poplar. We're sawing Cherry for couple more days then got couple custom saw orders to do.
Check out the client projects tab for new additions!!! and more coming !!!!!
Check out the kitchen counter tops made by Lindsey Lewis from Hack Berry live edge slabs under "clients projects" tab on the site!!!!!
Our entire poplar inventory flew out the door last week and we have been busy sawing poplar all week. We are open despite the cold weather. The lane coming in is pretty much 4x4 or front wheel drive auto's only for now. The kilns are loaded and one has large Cherry slabs and the other is loaded with 4/4 Walnut. The Walnut we plan to unload Monday the 20th. The 2014 calendar's are a BIG hit!!! and selling like crazy!!
We are open despite the bitter cold weather but not sawing, working inside with heat for next few days!!! We will be closing little early this coming Saturday January 11th at noon.
